| Last week teachers NIST hosted the Language and Literacy course run by Brian Dare from Lexis Education. The course builds on the popular ESL in the Mainstream course, looking closely at functional grammar and how it can help students succeed in reading and writing by exploiting the patterns in the language and structure of the varied texts they come across in their schooling. Teachers from Bangkok and China attended. Here is a snapshot of the five days. |
