Welcome to the NIPTA website (The New International School of Thailand Parent Teacher Association). NIPTA’s Executive Committee has representation from both Elementary and Secondary Schools, as well as, members of many different nationalities.

NIPTA is operated entirely by volunteers who make up its different committees including Finance, Health and Safety, PR and Communications, Scholastic Support Link, Sports/Extra Curricular Committee and Class Parent Representatives.

NIPTA welcomes and supports new families, and assists to help parents better understand NIST’s three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme (International Baccalaureate).

The objectives of NIPTA include the following:

To support the NIST community (parents, teachers and students)
Encourage parental involvement in school community and activities
To ensure that all families have the best possible scholastic, educational and an enjoyable experience at NIST
To encourage and generate parental involvement between parents and school as well as between parents
Promote open communication among the school, students, parents and teachers

In addition, NIPTA organises fund-raising events which include Quiz Night (a trivia competition between teams of teachers and parents), Bowling Nights, Community "Yard" Sales, and Family Fun Days. It also sponsors various cultural festivals, orientation tours (Explore Bangkok Tours), and parental networking events including Coffee Mornings. NIPTA promotes NIST sports teams and Extra Curricular Activities, and provides assistance for musical and theatrical performances.
