Sport Banquet 2010
On May 27, NIST hosted the annual NIST sports awards
attended by our student athletes, coaches and school
administrators. There were 300 people gathered to celebrate
our students sporting achievements during the last year. |

Bridges:
Oliver Stone
New International School of Thailand (NIST) heard an
extraordinary talk from and then dialogued with Academy
Award Winner Oliver Stone. Mr. Stone’s visit to NIST was
part of the third ASEAN event series "Bridges - Dialogues
towards a Culture of Peace.” |

International Day 2010
NIST celebrated its annual International Day festival on
Saturday, January 23, 2010. Sponsored by La-Z-y Boy this
year, there were over 3,600 visitors who enjoyed a festive
day of international food and fun. |

Time Capsule Opening Ceremony
On
Thursday,
December 10, 2009, the New International School of Thailand
(NIST) held its opening ceremony of the NIST Millennium
Time Capsule which was buried in 1999 to commemorate its 10
year anniversary. |

Bridges: Jackie Chan
On Monday, November 9,
2009, NIST Students heard an inspiring talk by Jackie Chan
followed by a dialogue session with him. Jackie Chan’s visit
to NIST was part of the third ASEAN event series "Bridges -
Dialogues towards a Culture of Peace”. |

Habitat for Humanity Sleep Out
The “Sleep Out” followed a week of activity at the School,
Habitat Awareness Week, during which it was hoped all
students, teachers and parents would grow in understanding
of how important it is to have a place to live, how many
people in the word are deprived of the basic need and how
each one of us can make a difference. |

Bridges: Prof. Aaron J. Ciechanover
On Friday, October 30,
2009, NIST Students were given a talk on a topic 'Science
and technology as a novel language of peace' by Prof. Aaron
Ciechanover as part of the “Bridges” series of
lectures. Prof.
Ciechanover is a 2004 Nobel Laureate for Chemistry and a
member of the Advisory Board of the International Peace
Foundation. |

Blast Off Elementary Musical
On the 14th and 15th of October 120
Year 4,5 and 6 students blasted off into outer space on an
intergalactic adventure to bring home some Jupiter Rock! The
audiences of two sold out shows were treated to an adventure
of cosmic proportions and some fine individual and group
performances. |

Bkk International String Orchestra Festival
Students from NIST and other Bangkok international schools
ISB, BPS, ICS and the Regent School cooperated to form a
large string Orchestra and performed a repertoire together
on September 25 and 26, at The Bangkok International String
Orchestra Festival 2009. |
