Arts After School at NIST
Elsie Evans, an established
Bangkok-based artist whose work has been displayed
across the globe in galleries, hotels, restaurants
and libraries, worked with NIST elementary and
secondary students after school from August until
December 2010.
Elsie has been exploring different approaches to
still- life drawing and painting as part of the NIST
extra-curricular programme, inside and outside of
the classroom.
She is adored and admired for her excellent working
relationship with her students by. Elsie introducing
introduces experimental ideas and, inspiration, and
by addressesing classes with a fresh approach. She
makes art lessons an immensely enjoyable experience
for all students to work and channel their creative
motivation with respect and appreciation. The
students learned new techniques and approaches,
which mademaking them more well-rounded, informed
and creative individuals.
