NIST 3rd Golf Tournament - An
Overwhelming Success
NIST’s 3rd Annual Golf
Tournament, held in collaboration with Amata Spring
Country Club, Chonburi on Tuesday 22 February 2011,
was a wonderful success with thirty one teams
enjoying the beautiful golf course in immaculate
condition. The golfers enjoyed four seasons in an
afternoon, with sultry conditions giving way to a
refreshing shower followed by a warm blue sky and
sunshine. It would be true to say that all golfers
enjoyed pitting their skill against this challenging
course no matter how many shots they carded. The day
was made complete by the ambience of the after match
entertainment which included an excellent buffet
dinner, live band and raffle whilst watching the
sunset over the 18th green and fairway.
The generosity of the sponsors and donors ensured
that most golfers returned home with a prize or
trophy. This year’s team winner was Nan Yang
Knitting Factory and they claimed the Chairman’s
trophy. The money raised from this event will be
used to add to last year’s generous donations of two
electronic scoreboards and padding for the new NIST
field.

be used to enhance student facilities at NIST.
