NIST CELEBRATES
‘SEOL-NAL’ KOREAN LUNAR NEW YEAR
On Friday 4 February 2011,
the Korean-Parent Group organized a special Korean
Lunar New Year celebration for NIST students,
teachers, parents and friends. Participants enjoyed
a lovely day filled with joyful spirit and fun
activities for everyone! The celebration, which took
place at the Oval, featured traditional Korean games
and a drumming performance. Various traditional
Korean dishes such as mandu, gimbap and bibimbap
were offered for tasting at the old library.
Dressing up in beautiful national costumes, our
Korean families shared their knowledge about Korean
cultures, traditions and food with everyone.
This was indeed another wonderful cultural event
where the whole community came together to learn and
appreciate the cultural differences at NIST.
Happy New Year!
