The New International School of Thailand (NIST) is pleased to
announce a series of new appointments.
 |
With the return of
Brett Penny, former
Elementary school
teacher at NIST, we
welcome him in his
new role as
Elementary Principal
following Paul
Hamlyn's departure.
Brett Penny comes to
NIST as a familiar
face, having worked
in NIST from
2000-2003. Brett
spent 8 years in
Zurich as PYP
Coordinator, Deputy
Principal and then
most recently as
Primary Principal.
Brett is a committed
IB practitioner and
NIST warmly welcomes
him back to the
School. |

In addition, Barclay
Lelievre has taken
over the role of
Vice Principal of
Middle Years
Curriculum from
Nicole Schmidt who
has moved on to
Angola where she
will be working as
the Secondary
Principal. Barclay
joins NIST after 5
years at The York
School in Toronto
and 9 years in Hong
Kong at Canadian
International and
Chinese
International
schools. Barclay has
worked on a number
of projects and
published a number
of books for the MYP
over the years. He
looks forward to
working with the
dedicated and
innovative staff at
NIST as they prepare
for the exciting
changes in the MYP
over the next two
years. |

Tina Santilli
has taken the role
of Vice Principal
for Middle Years
Student Welfare
following Cynthia
Wiseman’s move to
Peru where she will
be working as a
Middle School
Associate Principal.
Tina’s international
career has been
divided between
schools in Tanzania,
Indonesia,
Singapore, Taiwan
and most recently
Qatar, where she
served as Principal
of a small
specialized school.
She is experienced
in the areas of
Special Educational
Needs and English as
an Additional
Language and has
worked extensively
with teachers to
support diverse
learners to
successfully access
the IB programmes.
She is also working
on her doctoral
dissertation on the
topic of ethical
leadership. Tina
looks forward to
working within the
dynamic community at
NIST to foster the
development of a
positive culture
which nurtures
student learning.
