Tuition & Fees
As a not-for-profit foundation school, NIST is overseen by a parent-elected board. We strive to maintain fiscal responsibility, and all tuition income directly benefits our students and the greater community.
Location
Nestled in the heart of one of Bangkok’s busiest business districts, the NIST International School campus is located on Sukhumvit Soi 15, mere minutes from Asok BTS Station and Terminal 21.
Learning
Founded in Switzerland in 1968 as a non-profit educational foundation, the International Baccalaureate (IB) does not merely promote a curriculum, but rather a mission to transform the world through education.
Campus & Facilities
Though we are an inner-city school, our 25-rai campus encompasses ten buildings that house over 90 classrooms and state-of-the-art facilities ranging from a theatre and exhibition halls to multiple gymnasiums and arts studios.
Academic Performance
NIST has earned a reputation for academic excellence, and our students continually outperform national, regional and global averages on the IB exam, and attend top universities worldwide.
Our Inclusive Culture
We strongly believe diversity is not just a list of nationalities. It means being inclusive, providing students with the opportunity to engage with difference in all forms, from culture and background to strengths and needs.
Our Diverse Community
Schools do not exist in a bubble. We strive to create a safe, growth-focused community that cares for every individual and extends our philosophy and impact beyond our gates.
Our Values & Core Beliefs
Our community sees education as a force that can enlighten and transform. Through learning grounded in our shared values, we have the opportunity to positively impact those around us.
WHAT MAKES OUR COMMUNITY UNIQUE?

We are inclusive and diverse.
In the Bangkok international school community, students come from nearly every nation around the globe, and NIST is no exception, with over 77 nationalities represented. But we believe that diversity encompasses so much more than this. Children must learn to work and live in communities that encompass differing backgrounds, abilities and beliefs. We strive to provide an environment in which they can experience and value difference.
We believe in the power of service.
Service empowers students to connect with others in order to take action to enrich themselves, our communities and the world. It also offers an invaluable opportunity for them to engage with global issues at a local level, make connections with one another and outside community members, and develop the skills that will enable them to become successful global citizens. At NIST students take the lead in proposing, developing and launching service projects. This leads not only to greater learning opportunities, but also to greater attachment and commitment to the projects.

We are proud to offer over 20 service groups, co-led by student leaders and adult mentors. These sustainable groups address issues ranging from environmental protection to poverty alleviation to human rights advocacy.

We ground our programmes in research.
NIST’s aspirations and vision of education do not rely on models of the past, on the accumulation of knowledge or the memorization of facts. We believe in making decisions based on research in order to provide students with a supportive environment and the best possible learning opportunities. Though we are an International Baccalaureate school, we adopt best practices to suit our philosophy and context, ensuring that our graduates are not only fully prepared for the challenges of university and the workplace, but also passionate about making a positive impact in the world.
