Our Campus

Nestled in the heart of one of Bangkok’s busiest business districts, the NIST International School campus is located on Sukhumvit Soi 15, minutes from Asok BTS skytrain and Sukhumvit MRT subway stations. Our 25-rai campus encompasses ten buildings that house over 90 classrooms and state-of-the-art facilities.

Our younger students enjoy a purpose-built Early Years Centre providing a safe, age-appropriate environment that includes modern playground facilities, a small pool, an explorative garden and shared community spaces.

The Elementary and Secondary Buildings contain subject-specific classrooms, including science and technology labs, counselling and language rooms, art, music and recording studios and two outstanding and well resourced libraries. Senior students have access to a student-designed lounge, café and multi-purpose area that reflects the principles of modern education and learning research.

The Sports Complex includes a gymnastics studio, sports hall with multiple basketball and volleyball courts, swimming pool, two tennis courts and a FIFA-certified football pitch. Students can enjoy freshly prepared meals from our central cafeteria.

Our Creative Arts Building and Black Box Theatre provide a 350-seat theatre, performance and dance studios, visual arts studios, instrumental and vocal music rooms, private practice rooms and a recording studio.

The school has a long-term strategic plan to continually improve its resources and to meet the school community’s future needs in terms of learning spaces, health and safety, security and creating greater efficiencies.

We look forward to welcoming you to our campus.

Campus Development Plan

The redesign and redevelopment of the NIST campus is to meet the future needs of our community in terms of learning spaces, health and safety, security and creating greater efficiencies. This exciting campus redesign is the largest and most comprehensive series of renovation and building projects in the history of the school, and will provide the facilities for our ongoing success well into the future.

While our downtown location is a major attraction to many NIST families, we are limited by our land area, so our campus development plan increases the height of some of our buildings and utilises our footprint more effectively. We embrace new technologies and modern engineering to provide us with flexible multi-purpose rooms, rooftop spaces, elevated foot bridges to connect buildings, and additional community spaces.

Creating an Oasis in the City

An important part of our redevelopment plan is to create a vibrant and beautiful learning environment for our students that is also health-focused and sustainable. We are working with Bangkok's Big Trees Project to create an oasis of learning in one of the busiest cities in the world. The Big Trees Project is committed to helping us realise our green space goals, as we preserve and protect our indigenous trees on campus, and add more trees, green play spaces and rooftop greenery in the future.

Progress Update - Phase 1

The new Innovation Building houses our 350 seat state-of-the-art Black Box Theatre, drama studios and World Language classrooms

Phase 2

Two new purpose-built Elementary Buildings and a new Pavilion Building welcoming the school community

Phase 3: June 2025

Phase 3 will see us realise the potential of our new buildings, creating learning spaces that enrich and challenge our students.

PHILANTHROPY

NIST is grounded in history and also it is founded on philanthropy. In line with our philanthropic beginnings, our new building plan provides us with the opportunity to encourage existing members of our community to contribute to our school in a variety of ways, including through financial support and naming rights.
