Look for chances to take the less-traveled roads. There are no wrong turns.

Part of NIST’s mission is to inspire individual excellence and enrich lives, aims that naturally entail a wide range of educational approaches and programmes. We strongly believe that collaborating with other individuals and organizations provides learning opportunities that students may not receive in most schools. More importantly, such opportunities enable them to develop skills and traits that are increasingly in demand by universities and employers: leadership, resilience, creativity, adaptability, collaboration and integrity.
Our community is fortunate to share connections with other top schools and organizations around the world. These connections enable us to offer a wide range of optional programmes that challenge and enrich. NIST students may spend a week hiking the slopes of Mount Everest, sing in the halls of the Lincoln Center in New York, interact with Harvard professors in the online CORe programme, or work alongside locals in small rural village to implement a comprehensive development project.
When our students graduate, they leave NIST as passionate, globally aware individuals who go on to touch other lives in their own unique ways.
