Our Faculty & Staff

Our Faculty & Staff

We pride ourselves on the quality and experience of our teachers.

NIST is proud to be a member of multiple international, regional, and local bodies as they provide access to a network of experts within education, administration, campus development, and extra-curricular programmes, as well as providing important links to professional accreditation and assessment. Quality assessment systems provide feedback and recommendations for improvement, and these enable NIST to be benchmarked against other international educational institutions.

These associations benefit all members of our faculty and teaching staff, and we regularly encourage our staff to attend training via our Professional Learning programme, and to be involved within the wider teaching community. As an IB World School we have access to world-class professional learning opportunities related to IB workshops and conferences.

Networking amongst teachers within the school community is also encouraged, with our teachers involved in book clubs, social activities, teachers teaching teachers sessions, and orientation activities for new staff. Teachers are also invited to join our parent-teacher association, NIPTA, and the many social, networking and support activities NIPTA is involved in.

Teachers and faculty staff play host to many visitors within the education sector, with visiting delegates often commending NIST’s teaching and learning, in particular our well-designed curriculum articulation project and our future strategic plans. These compliments highlight our achievements, while instilling a sense of pride within our faculty and staff community.

In recognition of the enormous support our international staff members receive from our local Thai staff, NIST has developed a scholarship fund within the faculty and staff community that is used to benefit the children of our Thai staff. Children of Thai staff are provided the opportunity to attend NIST, with financial support provided for fees, supplies, uniforms and more. NIST is extremely proud of this community focussed programme.
