Board Secretary
Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the NIST Executive Board. The Secretary provides administrative and clerical support to the Board, through the timely and accurate collection and sharing of the information directly related to its activities. The Secretary ensures that the Board is well-informed and that its activities are well-documented for the use of Board members, the Governance Committee and relevant government bodies.
Responsibilities
- To organize and service the NIST International School Foundation (NISF) meetings; Executive Board meetings and Committee meetings; including preparation and distribution of appropriate notices of meetings, information circulars, proxy material, agenda, and supporting documents
- When required to translate documents from Thai to English or English to Thai
- To attend all Executive Board meetings, Foundation meetings and School Board Committee meetings.
- Act as secretary to the Meetings
- To ensure the preparation of the appropriate and accurate agenda and Minutes of all the meetings
- To follow up item by item following all meetings to be in accordance with the resolutions/recommendations of the meetings

Director of Facility Management
Job Summary
The Director of Facility Management plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of school campus operations within the school. This role also oversees campus operations & development, facility management, safety & security, and housekeeping. This position will work closely with the school leadership team to ensure a high degree of security, safety, cleanliness, and risk management, while also protecting and enhancing the facilities and environment at NIST. The Director shall be responsible directly to the Head of the School and will attend all meetings of the Campus Development Committee and other committees as required.
Responsibilities
1. Campus Development
Work with the campus operations management team to address the following key areas:

Oversees all construction works (new and renovation) to ensure that budgets are met and completed to a high standard and are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively as planned.
- Master plan the various development projects to establish key dates, design information, approvals, awards of contracts, construction milestones, placement of material orders and all items having a critical effect on the project being undertaken.
- Collaborate with the Accounting and Purchasing team on the bidding process, analyze submissions, negotiate with the selection of contractors/vendors, and contract.
- Organize and Chair meetings with the various professional teams and other concerned parties to ensure that all aspects of the Project stay on the Project as planned and within budget.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for budget cost plans and construction of the Project in accordance with the latest design as necessary changes take place.
- Organize the signing of permits and statutory forms for supervision by the responsible parties.
- Monitor construction progress and review against the approved construction plans.
- Manage and negotiate with all tenders as required after appropriate approvals have been sought. And identify potential savings.
- Supervise and monitor the Project Team during the on-site development/renovation projects to ensure safety and security, the approval process required for contractor submissions and the testing and commissioning of the building components.
- At the conclusion of all works, ensure that the contractors hand over complete sets of as-built drawings and check the adequacy and content.
- Ensure that the supplies and installation contractors prepare and submit, prior to handover, adequate maintenance and operations manuals for all equipment and durable installations.
2. Safety and Security Management
- Liaises with the Head of School in enhancing the SSHE policies and organizes implementation through operations procedures practices, and risk management.
- Supervise and be responsible for all Security, Safety, and Environment issues.
- Manages and oversees the best operation practices of the security of the school including its facilities, equipment, assets, and school’s car parks.
- Conducts and supervises regular routine inspections of all campus buildings, facilities, and equipment for compliance with good safety standards.
- Develops and implements on-site safety, environment, and emergency management procedures, in accordance with general and higher school policies and regulatory requirements.
- Formulates operational instructions that will ensure that safety issues are addressed regarding the day-to-day operation of the school (for example, car parks, traffic, playgrounds, swimming pool, roads, fencing, buildings, kitchen, the school’s infrastructure - electricity, water, gas supplies, evacuation procedures, etc.)
- Ensure readiness & reliability of safety equipment (e.g. fire extinguishers, Safety Alarms, CCTV)
- Need to inspect, evaluate, and oversee the maintenance and disposition of all hazardous materials and make improvements.
- Liaise where appropriate with other external agencies which can assist the school with security matters (e.g., embassies, police, and government authorities).
- Investigates all incidents, taking necessary precautions, while reporting cases of violations. The Head of School must be kept informed of any violations.
- Advises management of any changes in government legislation regarding SSHE matters.
- Ensure there is appropriate signage around the school regarding all SSHE matters.
3. Facility, Environment, and Maintenance Management
- Determine preventative maintenance plans for buildings and grounds and advise the facility and maintenance team on actions to be taken.
- Ensure that welfare facilities are properly provided and maintained (staffrooms, clinic, etc.)
- Ensure that the government regulations regarding water, air, and waste management are being maintained at a high standard.
- Liaise with government authorities regarding the Khlongs, which border the school, to ensure that health regulations are being adhered to.
- Investigate and make recommendations for ways of further enhancing the school environment.
- Oversees the school’s furniture requirements and ensures that ongoing needs are met.
4. Housekeeping & Event Set-up
- Ensure all school buildings, classrooms, offices, and common areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained through task assignments, performance monitoring, and training.
- Maintain inventories of cleaning supplies, equipment, and consumables; manage stock levels and procurement.
- Monitor hygiene standards in high-use areas such as restrooms, cafeterias, sports facilities, and early-years spaces.
- Coordinate deep cleaning during school holidays, special projects, or emergency situations.
- Ensure proper waste management, recycling processes, and environmental health practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and promptly address cleanliness or maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and safeguarding requirements throughout all cleaning activities.
- Support school events by coordinating the setup and breakdown of furniture, staging, AV equipment, and materials.
- Plan logistics and manpower for event setup, ensuring efficiency and minimal disruption to learning spaces.
- Prepare indoor and outdoor venues for assemblies, workshops, performances, parent meetings, and community events.
- Ensure equipment, furniture, and décor are arranged according to school safety and accessibility standards.
- Maintain and store event equipment, furniture, and signage in good condition.

Indian Cuisine Chef
Job Summary
Work collaboratively with the Head of Catering to design and implement diverse, nutritious, and culturally inclusive menus with a focus on Indian cuisine. Lead the preparation and production of high-volume meals in a school cafeteria environment while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities
Menu Planning & Development
- Contribute authentic Indian dishes across various regional styles (North Indian, South Indian, etc.) suitable for children and staff.
- Adapt traditional recipes for health-conscious diets (low-fat, low-sodium, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.).
- Collaborate with nutritionists to ensure balanced, allergy-safe, and kid-friendly options.
Food Production & Cooking
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian meals (curries, dals, rice dishes, flatbreads, snacks, desserts) from scratch, using bulk production methods suitable for large school settings.
- Oversee mise en place, batch cooking, and efficient station setup to ensure consistent quality and timely meal service.
- Innovate recipes using seasonal and locally available ingredients.
Kitchen Management & Teamwork

Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring that air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems function efficiently across the school campus. This role provides leadership to the technicians, assigns tasks, monitors work quality, and ensures compliance with safety regulations. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with the Facilities Maintenance Engineer to implement preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, and manage emergency maintenance tasks.

- Ensure maintenance requests and work orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Thailand University Counsellor
Job Summary
NIST is looking for an effective and knowledgeable university counsellor to join our team, with an initial focus on Thai universities. The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable about the Thai university admissions process, with a proven track record of providing expert advice and guidance to students and their families on Thai university pathways. The ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including other university counsellors, classroom teachers, advisors, counsellors, learning support teachers, and the Secondary Leadership Team, is essential. A positive mindset, a committed approach, and a can-do attitude are highly desired. A willingness to learn about other university systems in the future would be an advantage. Strong proficiency in English and Thai is expected.
Responsibilities
- Excellent references indicating a passion and knowledge for helping students with Thai university pathways.
- A willingness to develop a Thai university counselling programme for high school students.
