Job Description

  • Carry out duties assigned by help desk supervisor / IT manager
  • Install computers and peripheral devices
  • Set up operating systems and application software
  • Configure computers to access the local network
  • Support users in the use of school computer systems and standard applications
  • Perform routine maintenance procedures
  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software
  • Carry out duties in the absence of other computer technicians
  • Ensure all computers and peripheral devices are in a suitable working order and that the software specified by school is available
  • Provide maintenance throughout the day to ensure computers and services are available to staff and students
  • Maintain and repair computers and peripheral devices
  • Troubleshoot problems and questions encountered by staff members
  • Prepare tablets / notebooks / computers for each new academic year
  • Ensure that computer hardware and software are maintained to an acceptable level


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or experience in IT support for a number of years
  • Good command of English (spoken / written)
  • Service minded, efficient and positive attitude
  • Able to provide support relating to varied demands
