Role and Responsibility

Oversee and supervise all housekeeping staff according to established policies and procedures

  • Ensure that a high standard of cleanliness, orderliness and presentability is reflected around the school
  • Train all housekeeping staff to meet performance standards
  • Delegate tasks to housekeeping and property staff as required
  • Assign tasks in writing as delegated by the General Affairs & Community Relations Manager, including careful handling of furniture, economic use of supplies, monthly inventory taking and record keeping on the issuing items
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that proper methods are being employed and staff are using the proper personal protective equipment
  • Assist department staff in daily work as required, including issuance of supplies and equipment
  • Directly oversee work and disciplinary action of housekeeping staff
  • Conduct regular spot checking through personal inspection of procedures and work completed by supervisory staff
  • Plan duty rosters, overtime requirements, advance leave requests and duties in line with operational requirements
  • Complete all required daily and monthly reports, and check all issued keys in the property office at the end of each day
  • Maintain a daily log book on occurrences in the absence of property staff
  • Report daily inspection findings to the General Affairs & Community Relations Manager
  • Report any unusual occurrences concerning community members and guests to the General Affairs & Community Relations Manager
  • Handle inquiries and complaints from community members and guests, and report follow-up actions to the General Affairs & Community Relations Manager
  • Assess existing procedures, personnel and equipment, and make recommendations for any changes to the General Affairs & Community Relations Manager
  • Complete any additional assignments as designated by the General Affairs & Community Relations Manager and other NIST leaders
  • Coordinate facility, equipment and supply management to maintain optimal and efficient operations, particularly during scheduled events
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of guests, students and employees
  • Monitor and order required equipment and supplies, including through reporting unsatisfactory items or particular purchase needs
  • Maintain and update cleaning supplies and equipment inventories within the department
  • Coordinate with contractors for pest control, cleaning, etc. as assigned
  • Inspect school grounds and rooms regularly to identify repair needs or trouble spots, and to ensure that housekeeping staff have carried out their duties
  • Check classrooms to ensure that they are properly cleaned and ready for the next school day
  • Coordinate with leadership in the planning of special events and functions
  • Check and prepare supplies for events and other functions as required
  • Assist in setup of events and functions, as well as post-event clean-up



  • Thai nationality
  • Age 35 years and up
  • Vocational diploma or higher
  • 5 years and up in the hospitality or property management field
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Maturity and leadership skills
  • People-oriented professional with integrity, empathy and a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility
  • Ability to coordinate staff tasks and perform well under pressure
  • Basic computer proficiency
