Job Description

  • Answer phone calls and take messages
  • Greet all visitors to the Community Relations Centre and help them with their questions and requests
  • Provide information to parents, staffs, and visitors to the school with regard to their questions and requests
  • Keep abreast of all school events and activities in order to advise parents, etc.
  • Use blogs, NIST news, website and other sources of information
  • Fulfill callers’ requests – both external and internal
  • Handle staff personal mail; provide postage rates, collect letters and approximate money for postage fees from staff members; arrange all letters and money for the messenger to post them at a post office
  • Manage postal pretty cash for the teachers and support staff; collect outgoing school mail and arrange for the messenger to post it at a post office, make postage fee reimbursement with the Finance & Accounting Department
  • Sort out incoming letters and classifying them as departmental (e.g. secondary, elementary, head office, purchasing, etc.)
  • Deal with DHL, UPS, and Jetliner (courier companies) for staff, providing information about prices, forms, and collecting shipment fees
  • Coordinate between companies and staff for tasks that involve preparing airway bills and requisition forms, and hand in bills to the Finance & Accounting Department
  • Give assistance to staff with miscellaneous business such as paying phone bills, electricity bills, etc., and interpreting clearly for teaching staff, dealing with people outside the NIST community
  • Input visitor information to Veracross
  • Keep the reception area presentable and organizing the storage of deliveries appropriately
  • Assist with admissions when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by General Affairs & Community Relations Manager


  • Thai nationality and non-Thai national are welcome to apply
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2-3 years of work experience as a receptionist, telephone operator, concierge or business centre agent in an international setting
  • Good command in spoken English language (proficiency in other languages would be an advantage)
  • Exceptional customer service skills and positive attitude
