World Languages
NIST offers one of the most extensive World Language Programmes in Thailand. Twelve languages are offered within the school day and there are also options for world language learning after school.
Language A
Our World Language pathways provide many options. The Home Language (Language A) pathway provides twelve languages with additional options in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diplomas Programme. We have a School Self-Taught Literature A (SL) programme which is supported by a designated teacher. Both of these lead to the IB Bilingual Diploma.
Language B
The Language Acquisition (Language B) pathway provides students with an opportunity to learn an additional language. These courses are offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Through the IB Diploma Programme, ab initio provides students with the option to learn a new language as a beginner. Courses are offered online and in person.
NIST currently offers the following languages during our school day curriculum:

- Dutch *(CLP): Nederlands
- French: Français
- German: Deutsch
- Hebrew *(CLP): עִברִית
- Hindi: हिंदी
- Japanese: 日本語
- Korean: 한국인
- Mandarin: 中文
- Spanish: Español
- Swedish: Svenska
- Thai: ไทย
* Community Language Programme (CLP) incurs additional cost
Each year over 50% of our year 13 students at NIST graduate with an IB Bilingual Diploma.
