NIST Brand Guide

In this ever-changing society, the most powerful and enduring brands are built from the heart.

– Howard Schultz

A brand is not a color, a logo or a marketing tool. It’s an expression of a shared vision, a story that helps define and communicate the values that we hold. Like all other communities, we strive to express our unique identity in a common manner, through consistent images, words and actions. By using these guidelines and templates, you are helping to maintain that consistency both within our school and in the eyes of the greater community.

NIST has experienced outstanding success since its inception in 1992, yet we believe it can grow even further by adopting this common set of standards.

What Is NIST?

As one of the leading IB schools in the world, we believe in continually seeking to achieve excellence as individuals and as a community. Though we represent many diverse perspectives and backgrounds, we define our story through our four key values:

  • Integrity: We believe that individuals should be honest and principled. This includes being committed to our mission, and holding yourself and others accountable for choices.
  • Caring: We believe that compassion and empathy are central to learning. Combined with a commitment to reflection and balance, they contribute to our wellness.
  • Community: We believe in collaborating with others as part of a diverse community, helping us become open minded and globally aware in order to effect positive change.
  • Growth: We believe in a commitment to a growth mindset through active engagement and striving for excellence. Through this we become resilient, creative learners.
