What is P4C?
P4C, or Philosophy for Children, Communities and Colleges is an educational approach and worldwide movement that teaches reasoning, critical thinking, and communication skills to children through group dialogue. Developed by Matthew Lipman in the 1960s, it encourages children to think for themselves, ask thoughtful questions, and explore deep topics together.
Level One AIMS:
Begin P4C, the Thoughtful Level One Course introduces Philosophy for Children and Communities (P4C) to beginners, with the aim of equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and experiences you need to begin practising philosophical enquiry in your context, so that you can support those you work with to think, speak and listen more effectively.
