A one-day conference bringing educators and youth together to amplify voices through Service-Learning. Participants will connect, share, and build synergy, leaving with practical ideas to strengthen partnerships, elevate projects, and further embed Service-Learning into and beyond everyday classroom practice.
Participation Structure:
- Schools are invited to register and attend as a school team.
- Each school needs to bring a team of 3–5 participants.
- Each school team must include:
- 2 students (Grade 5 / Year 6 and above), and
- 1 Service-Learning coordinator or educator who oversees the Service-Learning programme at the school.
- The remaining 1–2 places (if applicable) may be filled by additional students or educators involved in Service-Learning.
Workshop Goals
- Inspire, connect, and empower schools through Service-Learning
- Strengthen Service-Learning practices and community partnerships
- Elevate student voice and youth leadership
- Support schools in weaving Service-Learning into curriculum and daily practice
Key Outcomes for Participating Schools
By the end of the day, schools will be able to:
- Share, brainstorm, reflect and continue to strengthen partnerships
- Elevate Service-Learning and our local collaborations
- Bring back learning and train fellow educators/ student leaders
- How do we all bring this into the classroom - weaving into curriculum/ units
