Children of the Forest
We work closely with with the local organization, Children of the Forest, in supporting their meaningful work on the ground. We aim to raise awareness for the challenges that stateless communities face, and host events towards more learning.
FemiNIST
We aim to encourage equity amongst the NIST Community, while combating negative connotations in regards to Feminism, gender roles and stereotypes. We work with Baan Unrak and sell butterfly peas/granola supporting the families in Northern Thailand.
Free to Be
We aim to raise awareness on discrimination and mistreatment of the LGBTQI+ community, especially within NIST, as well as to create a safe space for those who identify as part of the LGBTQI+ community.
Friends ‘N’ NIST
Friends ‘N’ NIST works closely with Friends Thailand towards their many local projects and work in empowering families towards stable income, protecting children in more volunerable communities, and off the streets of Bangkok.
GirlHood
We aim to advocate for the issues that impact lives of girls locally and globally, and work on projects supporing empowerment and wellbeing through partnerships with Lotus Education Fund and Nightlight.
Helping Hearts
We aim to work closely with our community partner, Concordia Welfare Education Foundation of Thailand – a daycare in the urban slum area, in learning and carrying out meaningful events throughout the school year.
Juno
We aim to provide learning on periods and feminie health for young women and men, advocate for the importance of sustinable period products, and provide these sustinable options to NIST and greater communities in partnership with local organizations.
Operation Smile NIST
Operation Smile NIST works alongside Operation Smile Thailand, sharing the aim of working towards a world where no child suffers from lack of access to safe surgery. We carried out different events throughout the year advocating for the cause.
PhuLiPhay
PhuLiPhay’s aim is to advocate and support urban refugees and displaced families in Bangkok. We work with local partners, and carry out learning together with school/BKK community towards positive impact.
Unlearn
We aim to explore and provide learning opportunities in the international school community on how we connect to inequility, what roles do we play, and what actions can we take in these movements.
